Giant drone crashes in Maryland
On June 11th, a Naval drone aircraft crashed on Maryland's Eastern Shore on Monday without injuries or property damage on the ground, officials said.
The footage above was captured in the aftermath of yesterday's crash of an RQ-4 Global Hawk operated by the Navy. It was on a routine flight above Maryland's idyllic Eastern Shore, testing its massive surveillance abilities. Then it crashed, leaving a giant ring of flaming debris and destruction in a secluded area. The Global Hawk is 44` long, 15` high, and has a wingspan of over 115 feet, weighing in at almost 27,000 pounds filled with fuel.
